The work featured here is what the artist calls her "label series," which combines her abilities as portrait, graphic, and editorial artist. It gives voice to her political, satirical, and historical opinions in a humorous and non-threatening way. These pieces, drawn on mat board in colored pencil, are inspired by the advertisements of yesteryear that she greatly admires. By publishing these pieces into greeting cards, magnets, yard signs, and the like, Barbara hopes to reach a wider audience.
